MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            2017

State Administration the name of such member, with the
statement of such candidacy for or acceptance of public
office. The State Director shall thereupon] declare that

a vacancy exists on the local board and proceed to have

it filled by appointment for the remainder of the

unexpired term in the manner provided in the aforegoing

subsection (c).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

Section 73

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 73 of Article 78 - Public Service
Commission Law, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 78 — Public Service Commission Law

73.

(A) The Commission may by regulation passed after
due notice and opportunity for interested parties to be
heard prescribe standards of safe, adequate, reasonable,
and proper service for any class of public service
