32A.

(A)   THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY
MAY APPROPRIATE COUNTY FUNDS FOR CIVIC, COMMUNITY OR
PUBLIC PURPOSES, IF IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS THE APPROPRIATION ENCOURAGES AND FOSTERS
THE PUBLIC GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE COUNTY.

(B)   THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY PAY FUNDS
APPROPRIATED IN SUBSECTION (A) TO ANY NONPROFIT
ORGANIZATION OR AGENCY, WHETHER PRIVATE, SEMI-PRIVATE OR
PUBLIC.

(C)    ALL APPROPRIATIONS MADE UNDER THIS SECTION ARE
SUBJECT TO THE NORMAL BUDGETARY PROCESS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County — Road and Bridges

FOR the purpose of permitting the County Commissioners of
St. Mary's County to construct and improve roads and
drainage after a number of conditions are fulfilled;
permitting the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County to pass legislation, under certain
conditions, to implement these provisions;
permitting county legislation of St. Mary's County
to provide for an annual benefit assessment against
certain properties, under certain conditions, to
reimburse the County for the cost of certain
improvements; and clarifying language.
