AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County — Agency Shop for School Employees

MC 41-76

FOR the purpose of providing that in Montgomery County
the Board of Education negotiate with employee
organizations which represent noncertificated
employees a nonmember service fee for full—time
employees.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 160A(a)(1) and (c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 160A(a) (1) and (c) of Article 77 -
Public Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77 — Public Education

160A.

(a) The following words shall have the following
meanings for the purposes of this section:

(1) "Employee organization" means         any

organization which includes noncertificated employees of
a public school employer and which has as one of its
primary purposes the representation of such employees in
their relations with that public school employer. IN
MONTGOMERY COUNTY THE TERM "NONCERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES"
SHALL INCLUDE ONLY FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES.
