(3) LEASE TRANSACTIONS WHERE THE STATE IS
THE LESSOR;

(4) LEASE TRANSACTIONS WHEN THE SPACE IS
LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THIS STATE: AND

(5) LEASE TRANSACTIONS DECLARED TO BE AN
EMERGENCY SITUATION BY THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
GENERAL SERVICES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Election Code — Counsel to the Board

FOR the purpose of providing that the counsel    to any

election board shall be compensated for any   special

services rendered to the board in an       amount

determined by the board, subject to budget
limitations; and making style changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 2-5 (b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-5 (b) of Article 3 3 - Election
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

2-5.

(b) The salary of the counsel [shall] MAY not
exceed the salary of the members of the board.

(1) The counsel to the board in Baltimore
County shall receive such annual compensation as may be
