Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to
read as follows:
Article 43 - Health
550.
(b) Each district is hereby granted and shall have
and may exercise all powers necessary or convenient for
carrying out the aforesaid purposes, including but
without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the
following rights and powers:
(17) TO BORROW FROM BANKS AND LENDING
INSTITUTIONS FOR PERIODS NOT TO EXCEED FIVE YEARS
WHATEVER AMOUNTS OF MONEY AS THE COMMISSION DEEMS
NECESSARY TO PROVIDE FOR INTERIM FINANCING FOR ANY
PROJECT UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE COMMISSION. THE
LOANS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNING
BODY OF THE COUNTY OR COUNTIES IN WHICH THE SANITARY
DISTRICT IS LOCATED, AND GUARANTEED AS TO PRINCIPAL AND
INTEREST BY THE GOVERNING BODY IN THE SAME MANNER AS
PROVIDED IN SECTION 654 OF THIS SUBTITLE. THIS PROVISION
DOES NOT APPLY TO THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY
DISTRICT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning
Medical Mutual Liability Insurance -
Exemption of Certain Physicians
FOR the purpose of exempting certain physicians from the
tax setting up the Medical Mutual Liability
Insurance Society of Maryland; and providing a
refund to those physicians who have already paid the
tax.
