Department for certain purposes and changing the
method of selecting the Committee's Executive
Director; creating [[Educational Coordinating
Councils for Correctional Institutions and]] [[an
Educational Coordinating Council for]] Educational
Coordinating Councils for Correctional Institutions
and State Hospital and Juvenile Institutions and
providing for their composition and duties;
providing for educational programs in these
institutions and methods of planning, developing,
operating, funding, and monitoring them; defining
terms; making style changes; conforming certain
provisions relating to the State and optional
retirement systems; and relating generally to public
and private elementary and secondary education.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2, 3, 6, 11, 12, 49 and 142 of
Article 77 - Public Education, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed:
