AN ACT concerning

Harford County - Distribution of Appearance Fees

FOR the purpose of requiring the clerk of the Circuit
Court in Harford County to retain appearance fees
for the use of the court library of the county.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7-204(d) of Article - Courts and
Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

7-204.

(d) In Harford County, the clerk of the Circuit
Court shall retain [40 percent of] all appearance fees
collected under subsection (a) for the general use of the
court library of the county, including the necessary
expenses for books and library equipment and the cost for
the services of a librarian.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
