FOR the purpose of eliminating certain sex—discriminatory
provisions for forfeiture of estate in instances of
bigamy; and generally clarifying the criminal

SECTION 1. BE IT   ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section   18 of Article 27 - Crimes and

Punishments, of the     Annotated Code of Maryland (1971

Replacement Volume and   1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 18 be and it is hereby added to Article 27 -
Crimes and Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to read as
