THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE DO NOT
APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS:
[(a)] (1) Officers and employees of the United
States [are exempt from the licensing requirements of
this subtitle] while driving on official business a motor
vehicle [which is] owned by or leased to the United
States[ . ];
[(b)] (2) Any member of the United States Congress
[(except members] NOT elected from [the] THIS State [of
Maryland)] who shall make this State his residence during
his term of office in the United States Congress[.];
[(c)] (3) Any person while driving or operating
any road machine, farm tractor, or implement of husbandry
temporarily operated or moved on a highway of this
State[, or any];
(4) ANY person possessing a valid Class "A,"
"B," "C," or "D" license, while driving or operating a
mobile crane on a highway to or from a construction site
in this State[.];
(5) ANY NEW RESIDENT OF THE STATE DURING THE
FIRST 30 DAYS OF RESIDENCY; OR
[(d)] (6) Any nonresident of this State,[ provided
that:
1. He] IF HE has in his possession a valid
license to drive[,] issued to him by the state or country
of his domicile[;
2. The license referred to in paragraph 1
allows] AND ALLOWING him to drive in [the] THAT state or
country [of his domicile] vehicles of the class he is
driving in this State[;] and [providing] he meets the
following age requirements:
(i) He must be at least 18 years of
age to drive a vehicle for which a Class A license would
be required if the vehicle were driven in this State by a
resident;
(ii) He must be at least 16 years old
to drive a vehicle for which a Class B license would be
required if the vehicle were driven in this State by a
resident;
(iii) He must be at least 18 years old
to drive a vehicle for which a Class C license would be
required if the vehicle were driven in this State by a
resident;
(iv) He must be at least 16 years old
