RENEWED BEFORE EXPIRATION OF THE GRACE PERIOD. A
PODIATRIST MAY REINSTATE THE LICENSE BY FULFILLING ALL
RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS AND PAYING ALL PAST DUE FEES AND A
REINSTATEMENT FEE ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD.
(3) A PODIATRIST MAY PLACE AND MAINTAIN
HIMSELF ON INACTIVE STATUS ON WRITTEN APPLICATION TO THE
BOARD AND PAYMENT OF AN ANNUAL INACTIVE FEE ESTABLISHED
BY THE BOARD.
(4) EACH PODIATRIST SHALL NOTIFY THE BOARD
OF ANY CHANGE OF ADDRESS.
(C) The Board [of Podiatry Examiners] may pay
expenses incurred in carrying out the provisions of this
subtitle[,] and pay the per diem compensation to ITS
members [of the Board], as provided in the annual State
budget. All moneys collected under this subtitle shall
be paid over to the State Treasurer and shall become
general funds of the State. Such moneys shall thereafter
be disbursed by the Comptroller only pursuant to an
appropriation made in accordance with §§ 32 and 52 of
Article 3 of the Constitution or pursuant to the
provisions of §§ 1 through 15 inclusive, of Article 15A
of this Code, title "Budget and Procurement," as amended
from time to time.

(a) The Board may establish mandatory continuing
education requirements for podiatrists licensed in this
State as a condition to their being registered in
accordance with this subtitle.
(b) This section does not apply to registrants who
pay their annual [registration] LICENSE fee but do not
practice in Maryland during the year.
(c) Any individual applying for initial
registration under this subtitle shall be exempted from
this requirement, and the Board may, at its discretion,
register any licensee if the licensee proves subsequent
compliance with the provisions of this section.
(D) EACH PODIATRIST SHALL COMPLETE AND RETURN TO
THE BOARD, WITH HIS ANNUAL LICENSE FEE, ANY FORM PROVIDED
BY THE BOARD REQUESTING CERTIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION OF
THE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS ATTENDED DURING THE
YEAR.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
