advertising, promotion and standards for filling and FOR
refilling prescriptions, necessary to protect public
health, safety, and welfare.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

(House Bill 599)

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws — Special Restrictions on Lamps

FOR the purpose of prohibiting anyone, with certain
exceptions, from driving or moving any vehicle or
equipment upon a highway displaying a blue
[[and/or]] OR red light visible from the front.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

Section 12-227(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1970 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12-227(b) of Article 66 1/2 -
Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle Laws

12-227.

(b) Except as required or permitted in §12—218 or
the rules governing the operation of authorized emergency
vehicles and school buses, no person shall drive or move
any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with any lamp
or device thereon displaying a red [[AND/OR]] OR BLUE
light visible from directly in front of the center
thereof.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
