AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 1

Offered from the floor by Senator Crawford:

Amendment No. 1 —

In lines 38 through 41, inclusive, on page 1 of the
printed bill, strike beginning with "increase" in line 38
down to and including "withholding" in line 41 and insert
in lieu thereof "Insurance Premium Tax".

Amendment No. 2 —

In lines 58 through 68, inclusive, on   pages 1 and 2

of the printed bill, strike beginning with   "providing" in

line 58 down to and including "employers;"   in line 68 and

insert in lieu thereof "increasing the tax on certain
insurance premiums;".

Amendment No. 3 —

In lines 72 through the unnumbered line following
line 73, inclusive, on page 2 of the printed bill, strike
beginning with "an increase" in line 72 down to and
including "taxes" in the unnumbered line following line
73 and insert in lieu thereof "and an increase in
insurance premium taxes".

Amendment No. 4 —

In lines 121 and 964 on pages 2 and 22,
respectively, of the printed bill, in each instance,
strike "150, 280b, 280A(b) and (c), 312(h)(2),".

Amendment No. 5 —

After line 124 on page 2 of the printed bill, insert
the following:

"BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes
Section 136(a)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume) ".
