Sold A Servant to Wm Comegys of this County Named Owen O’Muinan for ye
Space of Seaven yeares to Comence from ye Day that his Said Ship Droped Anchor in
this province            Leiut. Coll. Thomas Smith absent            Capt. Thomas Ringgold
And ye Said Wm Comegys being desireous to know when he must pay leavies for ye Said
Servant. Owen O’Muinan, brings ye Said Servt. before this Court to be Adjudged by ye
Court of what age he is & when A Taxable This Court upon view of ye Said Servant doe
Adjudge him to be fourteen yeares of age                                     Jno Dowdall Clk

Mr. Solomon Wright absent         Leiut. Coll. Smith Sitts       Mr. Charles Hynson absent

Comand was Given to ye Sherf. of Kent County ye Twenty ninth day of Augt. Annoq
Domi. 1700 That he Take Robert Smith Esqr. if found in his bailiwick & him Safe keep
Soe that he have his body before his Majties Justices at a Court to be held for Said at our
Court house upon Chester River ye fourth Tuesday of Sepr. Next to answer unto Thomas
Mann of A plea of Trespass upon ye Case
Which next Court being An Adjourned Court all prcepts were Contd. in ye Sherf. Custody
untill ye next Court
Comand was Given to ye Sherf. of Kent County ye Twenty fourth day of Sepr. Annoq Domi.
1700 that he Take Robert Smith Esqr. if found in his bailiwick & him Safe keepe Soe
that he have his body before his Majties Justices Att a Court to be held for Said County
at our Court house upon Chester River ye fourth Tuesday of Novemr. Next to Answer unto
Thomas Mann of A plea of Trespass upon ye Case

Att which Said Court vizt. ye 26 day of Novemr. Annoq Domi. 1700 came Elias King
high Sherf. of Said County & made returne of his first writt in these words following vizt
                                                                       Non East Inventus
                                                                                   pr me Elias King Sherf.
Att which Said Court came likewise ye Said Elias King high Sherf. of Said County
& made returne of Said Second writt in these words vizt.    cepi corpas pr me E King Sherf.

On which Said day ye Said Defendt. by Michael Earle his Attry Appeares & prayes
thereof to Imparle untill ye next Court which was Granted unto him ye Same day was
given ye Plaintf likewise                      Macklin pr qr.
Att which next Court vizt. ye 28. day of Janry Annoq Domi. 1700 being an Adjourned
Court untill ye Eleventh day of Febry next ensuing all prcepts were Continued untill ye
Said E Court in ye Sherf. Custody
And now here at th[is] day vizt. ye Eleventh day of febry. Annoq Domi. 1700 came as
well ye Said Plaintf. [b]y his Said Attry as alsoe ye Said Defendt. by Michll. Earle his
Attry and ye Said Cause Standing for Tryall ye Plaintf. Decln. vizt.
Kent Ss          Robert Smith of Talbott County Esqr. Stands Attached to Answer unto

   Thomas Mann of A plea of Trespass upon ye Case
Whereupon ye Said Thomas by Richard Macklin his Attry complaines that whereas ye Said
Thomas at Chester River wthin ye jurisdiction of this Court ye fifteenth day of May Anno
Domi. 1698 at ye Spll. instance & request of ye Said Robert Smith had Sold and delivered
unto ye Said Roberts then wife and daughter Anne divers goods wares & merchandizes
