Whereas Richard Jorum of this County having Comenced an Action at. Jno Dubroise of
ye Province of Pensilvania and having obtained Judgemt. at. him pr Attachmt. & ye
Said Attachmt. being returned by ye Sherf. last Court Attached in ye hands of Patrick
Creagh ye Sume Specified in ye Attachmt. ye Said Defendt. Jno Dubroise by Michael
Earle his Attry last Court appeared to ye original Action and prayed thereof to Imparle
untill this Court which was granted unto him ye Same day was given ye Plaintf. alsoe
And now here at this day vizt. ye 27. day of March Anno Domi.         Macklin pr qr.
1701 came as well ye Said Defendt. by Michael Earle his Attry as alsoe ye Said Plaintf.
by Richd. Macklin his Attry & ye Said Cause Standing for Tryall ye Plaintf. Decln. vizt.
Kent Ss       John Dubroise of Said County was Attached to Answer unto Richard Jorme of A plea

   of Trespass upon ye Case
And whereupon ye Said Plaintf. by Richard Macklin his Attry complaines that whereas
ye Said Plaintf. ye 19th. day of March 1699 at Kent County wthin ye jurisdiction of this Court
at ye Spll. Instance & request of ye Said John had Sold & Delivered unto ye Said John divers
goods wares & merchandizes and had lent unto ye Said John one bushell of Indian Corne &
had done divers Services for ye Said John as Appeares by an Acct. thereof to this Decln.
annexed and herein Court brought Amounting to ye Sume of Three pounds one Shilling &
                                                             whereof
nine pence Sterg. money in consideracon ^ ye Sd Defendant upon himselfe assumed & unto ye
Said Plaintf. faithfully promised that he ye Said (ye Defendt.) ye Said Sume of 3lb:1s:9d
when thereunto afterwards required would well & truly pay yet nevertheless ye Said Deft.
ye Said Sume of 3lb:1s:9d promise and Assumption to pay hath denyed and Still & Sume to pay
doth deny & refuse to ye Damage of ye Said Plaintf. Six pounds of like money & thereupon
he brings this Suite         Macklin pr qr. pledges &a.              Jno Doe Rd. Roe
