Mr. Jno Whittington absents himselfe       But Coll. Jno Hynson Sitts

Mary Couch deposes upon ye holly Evangelists That John Hudson is ye father of her base
borne Child            Ordered by this Court That ye Sherf. of this County doe Take into his
Custody ye Said Mary Couch & her Soe had to take her to ye Whipping post & there to recieve
fifteen lashes on her bare back well Laid on                           Jno Dowdall Clk

Whereas there was an Action Comenced by Richard Jorum of this County agt. one John
Dubroise and A Judgemt. being obtained agt. ye Said Dubroise pr Attachment & An Attachment
having Issued and ye Sherf. now makes returnes of Said Writt Attached in ye hands of Patrick
Creagh and alsoe made knowne before Jno Hackett & Charles Hollinsworth Sums. ye Said Patt.
that he be & Appeare &a as by ye within precept I am Comanded       Elias King Sherf.
But ye Said Defendant by Michael Earle his Attry moves this Court that he may have Libertie
to Appeare to ye Originall Action, But ye Said Plaint. Richard Jorum by Richard Macklin
his Attry prayes that ye Said Defendant John Dubroise may put in Sufficient Securitie for
payment of Condemnacon if Cast which was by ye Court granted unto him
But Michael Earle Assumes here in open Court that ye Said Jno Dubroise Shall pay
Condemnacon if Cast or Else he will doe it for him

Richard Bishup comes into Court and acknowledges a Conveyance to Jno Sutton for one hundred Acres of
Land Called Macoackin Scituate lying & being on ye South East Side of Langfords Bay in Kent County &
Likewise came Susannah Bushop wife to ye Said Richard Bushop who being Secrettly Examined out ye
hearing of her Said Husband Saith that without ye Threats or menaces of her said husband & with her free
Consent ye Said Land was Sold

Robert Crump and Elizabeth his Wife comes into Court and Acknowledges a Conveyance to Anne Smith
Exx. of Edwd. Smith late of Kent County Decd. to & for ye Use & behoofe of Robert Smith Son to ye Said
Edward Smith and ye Said Eliza. who being Secreatly Examined out of ye hearing of her Said husband
doth Acknowledge that ye Said Land was conveyed with her Consent & free will without any threats or
menaces of her Said husband

Leiuetenant Coll. Thomas Smith takes his place upon ye Bench

Ralph Steavenson of Talbott County having Commenced ^ agt. Richard Collins of Kent County The Said Defend[t.]
by Richard Macklin his Attry Appeares & moves ye Court that ye Said plaint may give Security to
pay Costs if in case he die not mentaine his Action which was granted unto him
Therefore Ordered by this Court that ye Said Plaint. Ralph Steavenson find Security to pay ye
Costs accrewing upon ye action now Depending between himand Richard [Collins def]endt. if in Case ye
ye Said Ralph doe not mentaine his Action Soe as afsd. brought                 [Jno Do]wdall Clk
Edward Steavenson comes into Court & Assumes that ye Said Ralph St[eavenson] Shall pay cost if
in Case he doe not mentaine ye Action by him brought at. ye Said Richard Collins or else he
will doe it for him

Ordered by this Court that Hugh Marsh be & personally Appeare at ye next ^ & bring along
with him his Son John Marsh that it may Evidently Appeare to ye Court Whith his Said
