Domⁱ. 1701 That y^e Said Thomas Ringgold ^ have Attachm^t. a^st. y^e goods Chattles Debts rights
& Creditts of y^e Said Defend^t. William Miller as well for y^e Sume of Seaven hundred
forty & four pounds of Tob^o. Debt as alsoe for y^e Sume of five hundred Sixteen & A
halfe pounds of Tob^o. Cost & y^e Said William Miller in Mercy ~ ~    Jn^o Dowdall Clk

Joshua Sweatnam	County in y^e province of Maryland Gentⁿ. alius dictus Joshua Sweatnam one

of y^e Att^rys of Kent County Court here p^rsent in Court in his proper person of A plea
that he render him y^e full Sume of one Thousand eight hundred ninety & Three pounds
of Tob^o. which to him he owes & from him he unjustly Detaines
And whereupon y^e Said Patrick Creagh by his Said Att^ry Saith that whereas y^e
Said Joshua y^e 7^th. day of June Anno Domⁱ. 1701 at Kent County within y^e jurisdiction of
this Court by his certaine writeing obligatory Sealed with his Seale as his Act & deed
delivered & here into Court brought whose date is y^e Same day and yeare Afs^d. did bind
himselfe his heires Ex^r. Ad^r. or Assignes to pay or cause to be paid unto y^e Said Patrick
Creagh to him his heires or Assignes or any of his Att^rys the full of A bill containing
y^e Sume of Sixteen hundred pounds of Tob^o. and one hundred Sixty five pounds of
Tob^o charges at y^e Law and for intrest one hundred Twenty Eight pounds all which y^e

Said Joshua by his writing obligatory promised to pay at or ^ y^e Tenth day of October then
next ensuing y^e Date of y^e Said bill obligatory which Said Severall Sumes of Tob^o. in y^e

Afs^d. bill ob^ry above menconed doe amount in y^e whole to y^e ^ Sume of 1893^lb Tob^o. yet neverthe
less y^e Afs^d. Joshua y^e Afs^d. Sume of 1893^lb Tob^o. according to y^e Ten^r. of y^e Afs^d. bill ob^ry unto
y^e Said Patrik Creagh hat not as yet rendered but y^e Same to render hitherto hath & Still
doth deny and refuse to y^e damage of y^e Said Patrick Creagh Three thousand Eight
hundred Eighty Six pounds of Tob^o. & thereupon he brings this Suite            Jn^o Doe

To which Said Action y^e Said Defend^t. Joshua Sweatnam in his proper person comes
into Court & confesseth Judg^t. for y^e Said Sume of Eighteen hundred ninty & three pounds
of Tob^o. Debt & cost accrewing
Therefore it is considered by y^e Court here viz^t. this 28. day of Novem^r. Annoq
Domⁱ. 1701 That y^e Said Plaint^f. Patrick Creagh doe recover from y^e Said Defend^t.
Joshua Sweatnam as well y^e Sume of Eighteen hundred Ninety & Three pounds of Tob^o
Debt as alsoe y^e Sume of one hundred Sixty & four pounds of Tob^o. cost of Suite & y^e
