James his abode according as y^e Law p^rscribes y^e Said plaint^f. Giles Bond by Richard
Macklin his Att^ry moves y^e Court that he may have Judg^t. which was Granted him

Therefore it is Considered by y^e Court here this day viz^t. y^e 28 day of Novem^r Annoq
Domⁱ. 1701 That y^e Said plant^f. Giles Bond have Attachm^t. a^st. y^e goods or Chattles of y^e
Said James Theslewood Defend^t. as well for y^e Sume of Nine hundred & eight pounds of Tob^o
Debt as alsoe for y^e Sume of five hundred Twenty & Two pounds of Cost & y^e Said Def^t. in mercy

Comand was given to y^e Coroner of Kent County y^e 23^d. day of Sep^r. Annoq Domⁱ. 1701 that he
Take James Theslewood of Said County planter if found in his bailiwick & him Safe keepe Soe that he
have his body before his Maj^ties Justices at y^e next Court to be held for Said County to answer unto
Elias King of A plea of Trespass upon y^e Case
Att which next Court viz^t. y^e 25. day of Novem^r. Annoq Domⁱ. 1701 y^e Day of y^e Returne of Said
writt came Thomas Smith one of y^e Corroners of Said County and made returne thereof viz^t.
                                                             Non East Inventus p^r Thomas Smith Coroner
      But a Copie of y^e Declⁿ goeing along w^th. y^e writt was as followeth
Kent Ss       James Theslewood of Kent County Standeth Attached to answer unto Elias King
                     of A plea of Trespass upon y^e Case
Whereupon y^e Said Elias by Richard Macklin his Att^ry complaineth & Saith that y^e Said James
Standeth justly Indebted unto y^e Said Elias in y^e full & just Sime of five hundred forty Seaven
pounds of Tob^o as by an Acc^t. here in Court ready to be proved may apepare Nevertheless y^e Said
James y^e Said Sume of five hundred forty Seaven pounds of Tob^o. nor any part thereof unto y^e Said
Elias hath paid but y^e Same to pay hath refused altho often thereunto required whereupon y^e Said
Elias Saith he is damnified one Thousand pounds of Tob^o. & thereupon brings this Suite
