Novemr. Court 1701 [79] To Court ye Said Wm hath neglected and refused to ye damage of ye Said orphan and agt. ye forme of ye Act of Assembly in that case made & provided ~~~ Macklin pr Doms. Rege But ye Said Wm Robinson now appeares in his proper person and Submitts himselfe to ye Court ~~~~~ It is Thereupon considered by ye Court here vizt. ye 27. day of Novemr. Annoq Domi. 1701 that whereas ye Said orphan Thomas Honey having a greater inclinacon to Stay wth ye Said Wm Robinson then to be bound to any Trade & that ye Said orphan is well delt by that he remaine wth ye Said Wm Robinson & upon ye Said Wms Submission be cleared paying his fees ~~~~~ Jno Dowdall Clk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John Loyd being bound by recognizance last Court to make his personll. Appearance here this Court & good behaviour in ye meane while now appeares ~~~~~ But Richard Macklin Clk of ye Indictments moves ye Court by reason ye Kings Evidences are not now prsent to Testifie ast. ye Said John Loyd ye Said John may enter into recognizance againe for his Appearance next Court & good behaviour in ye meane time which was granted And Thereupon it was ordered that ye Sherf. of this County doe take into his Custody ye Said John Loyd & him Safe keepe untill he find Security for his personall Appearance here next Court & good behaviour in ye meane while ~~~ Jno Dowdall Clk ~~ And ye Said John Loyd comes into Court Togeather wth. Patrick Creagh his Security & ye Said John doth Acknowledge himselfe Indebted unto our Soveraigne Lord King Wm &a. in ye full & just Sume of Tenn pounds Sterg. to be leavied upon his goods and Chattles Lands & Tenements condiconed he make not his personall appearance at ye next Court & good behaviour in ye meane while to all his Majties leidge Subjects and ye Said Patrick Creagh Security of ye Said John Loyd Acknowledges himselfe Indebted unto our Said Soveraigne Lord ye King in ye full & just Sume of five pound Sterg. to be leavied as AboveSaid Condiconed as aboveSd. wherewith they are both contented ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whereas John Alley being presented by ye Grand jury last Novemr. Court & Severall venires having Issued for ye Said Jno but returned Non East Inventus except this last which returned cepi corpus pr ~~~~~ Elias King Sherf ~~ The which prsentmt. was framed into A bill of Indictment as follows vizt Kent Ss The jurors for our Soveraigne Lord ye King that now is for Kent County Upon theire oathes doe prsent John Alley of ye Said County planter for that he ye Said John ye fourth Tuesday of Sepr Ano. Domi. 1701 at ye house of A Certaine Samuel Taylor in Island hundred within ye jurisdiction of this Court ye holly & blessed name of Allmighty God by Swearing Severall oathes did wickedly profane ast. ye peace &a. & ast. ye forme of ye act of Assembly in that case made &a ~~~ Macklin pr Doms. Rege And ye Said John Alley now appeares and Submitts himselfe to ye Court ~~~~~ Therefore It is considered by ye Court here vizt. this 27. day of Novemr. Anno Domi. 1701 that ye Said John Alley be fined ye Sume of Tenn Shillings Sterg. & likewise pay ye Sume of fou[r] hundred and three pounds of Tobo & ye Said Alley in Mercy ~~~ Jno Dowdall Clk ~~ |
