53 Ex.d State of Maryland Sc.t This Indenture made the Twelfth day of June in the Year of our Lord One THousand Seven hundred and Eighty three Between Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsay Commissioners appointed to preserve Confiscated British Property of the one part and Joseph Baxter of Baltimore County and State aforesaid Farmer of The other part Whereas at a Public Sale of Monococy manor in Frederick County had at Frederick Town on the Tenth day of September Last By virtue and in Pursuance of an Act of Assembly for the Sale of Certain Confiscated British Property pledged for the Redemption of Officers and Soldiers Certificates and one Other act of Assembly to Post pone the Sale of Certain Confiscated British Property for the Redemption of Certificates the said Joseph Baxter was the Best and highest Bidder for three Lots peices or parcels of Land herein after described and mentioned to be Conveyed at and for the Price of one Thousand Seven hundred and Forty Pounds and hath ^since^ paid and Satisfied the purchase money aforesaid in Certificates agreeable to the said first act Now This Indenture Witnesseth That the aforesaid Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsey Commissioners aforesaid in Consideration of the said Payment and other the Premises And in Pursuance and By virtue of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and Provided Have granted Bargained Sold and Conveyed and by These presents Do Grant Bargain Sell and Convey to the said Joseph Baxter his heirs and assigns forever all them the said Three Lots peices or parcels of Land being part of Monocacy manor and Distinguished on on a plat thereof by the Numbers Sixty five Sixty six and Sixty seven beginning for the Lot Number Five at a Bounded white Oak Tree The original Beginning of said Lott and Running thence South Twenty three degrees West fifteen Perches Then South one hundred and Eighty four Perches Then South Thirty Two degrees West forty six Perches Then South Twenty three degrees West Forty seven Perches Then North Eighty degrees West one hundred and Thirty five Perches Then North Twenty Degrees East one hundred and Seventy three Perches Then South Sixty four Degrees East twenty three Perches Then North Twenty degrees East Two hundred and Eighteen Perches East Twenty perches Then South thirty degrees West Fifty Perches Then South Four degrees East forty two Perches Then South Seventy five degrees East twenty eight Perches then South Twenty two Perches to the first Line of the Original then by a Straight line to the Beginning Containing and laid out for Two hundred and Seven Acres and for the Lotts ^Numbered^ Sixty six and Sixty seven Beginning at bounded White Oak tree the original beginning of Peter Smith's Lott Number Sixty eight and running thence South Sixty one Degrees East Sixty nine Perches Then North twenty five degrees East thirteen Perches Then North Forty five Degrees East eighteen Perches Then North Seventy three Degrees East forty perches Then North fifteen degrees East forty six Perches Then North Fifty nine degreeas east fifty two Perches Then North one hundred and Twenty eight Perches Then South Twenty three degrees West thirty one Perches Then North fifty one degrees West thirty Perches Then North Twenty three Degrees East Twenty two Perches Then North Eighty degrees West one hundred |
