441) Manor he being the highest Bidder therefor at and for the sum of one hundred and five pounds and at the said Sale a certain William Whetcroft became the purchaser of Lot number fourteen for the Sum of Four hundred and five pounds & hath Transferred all his right and Title thereunto the aforesaid John Courts Jones who ^has^ Transferred all his right to the same to the aforesaid Richard Hendley Courts Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the aforesaid Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall for and in consideration of the aforesaid sum of one hundred and five pounds to the Commissioners of Confiscated Estates paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents Have granted bargained and sold released enfeoffed and Confirmed and Confirmed and by these Presents do grant Bargain sell release enfeoff and confirm unto the aforesaid Richard Hendly Courts his heirs & Assigns forever the aforesaid Lot Number Eighteen beginning at a Stone the original Beginning and running thence North twenty six Degrees west one hundred and twelve perches then South seventy four Degrees West one hundred & fifty one perches then South twenty six degrees East one hundred and thirteen perches then by a straight Line to the beginning containing one hundred and five acres also Lot Number fourteen beginning at the end of the third Line of Jacob Keller's Lot Number Twenty eight and running thence South Seventy Degrees West forty four perches then South seventeen degrees East seventy seven perches to Lot Number Twenty eight then North seventy four degrees East thirty three perches then North twenty six Degrees West five perches then North forty five degrees East Ninety three perches then North sixty two degrees West fifty perches then by a Straight Line to the first beginning containing forty one acres More or Less Together with all and singular the advantages hereditaments privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the right Title and Estate Interest property claim and demand of them the said Clement Hollyday and Gabriel Duvall as Commissioners aforesaid and all the Estate right title and Interest of Henry Harford Esquire or any other person claiming under the late Lord Baltimore previous to the act entitled an act to Seize confiscate and appropriate all British Property within this State and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the Lots of Ground aforesaid and with all and singular the Premises and Appurtenances to him the said Richard Hendly Courts his Heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered in Presence of Clement Hollyday (seal) (Interlineation in the fifth eighth & fourteenth line being first made) G Duvall (seal) William Faris (One) |
