432) of Ann Arundel County Merchant deceased of the other part Whereas the aforesaid William Brown doth owe & is Justly indebted unto the aforesaid Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch Executors of the aforesaid James Dick by Bond or writing obligatory bering date this second day of May Seventeen hundred & Eighty five the sum of Seven hundred & thirty one pounds twelve shillings & seven pence Sterling Money to be paid to the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch Executors as aforesaid their Executors Administrators & assigns with legal Interest thereon from this day and to secure the punctual and faithfull payment of the sum of Money aforesaid the aforesaid William Brown hath agreed to convey to them the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch their heirs & assigns forever the property herein after mentioned and Specified Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Brown for and in consideration of the premises Hath given granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien & confirm unto them the aforesaid Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch their Executors Administrators and assigns all that piece ^or^ parcel of Land being part of a Tract of Land lying and being on South river in Ann Arundell County called and known by the name of Covels Cove which said piece part or parcell of Land was Deeded to the aforesaid William Brown by a certain John Ducker late of Ann Arundel County deceased and contains about Three hundred acres more or Less also two Lots in London Town in the County aforesaid which the said William Brown purchas'd of a certain Stephen Best situate opposite to the Garden of the of the aforesaid Mary McCulloch whereon are two small dwelling houses also all Lots parcell or parcells of Land in London Town belonging to him the aforesaid William Brown herein not before mentioned together with all and singular the Improvements Advantages Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said piece or parcel of Land & Lots and each of them belonging or any wise appurtaing and all the Estate right title interest use trust claim & demand whatsoever of him the said William Brown be that Law and in equity of in and to the said Land & Lots of Ground and each of them belonging Also one Negroe Man called Osburn one Negro Boy called Harry one Negro Man called Sampson and one Negro Girl called Sall & her child with all the future Increase of the said Negro Sal & Child of him the said William Brown To have and To hold unto them the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart and James McCulloch Executors as aforesaid their heirs Executors Administrators & assigns forever the parcel of Land aforesaid being part of Covels Cove and the Lots of Ground ^in London Town^ aforesaid with their and each and every of their appurtenances and to and for the use of them the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch their heirs and assigns and to and for no other use intrust nor purpose whatsoever and also To have and To hold all the Negroes herein mentioned and specified with the increase aforesaid unto them the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart and James McCulloch their heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and these presents are upon this Condition that if the aforesaid William Brown his heirs Executors or Administrators do & shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Mary McCulloch Charles Stewart & James McCulloch Executors as aforesaid with legal Interest thereon as aforesaid the aforesaid sum of seven hundred and thirty one pounds twelve shillings and seven (pence) |
