419 Know all Men by these presents that we William Robertson Richard Wootton & Joseph Sprigg Belt are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand five hundred pounds Current Money to be paid to the said State to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind our selves our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this twenty seventh day of August one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound William Robertson shall well and faithfully execute his office and the several duties required of him by Law and shall well and truly account for and pay to the Justices of Montgomery County Court or their order all the several sums of Money which he shall receive or be answerable by law at such times as the Law shall direct then the above obligation to be void Witness W.m Robertson (seal) Brooke Beall Thomas Turner Richard Wootton (seal) On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed Viz Joseph Sprigg Belt (seal) State of Maryland Montgomery County to wit 27.th of August 1783 Then Brooke Beall and Thomas Turner evidences to the within Bond personally appeared before me one of the Justices of the County aforesaid and made oath that they saw William Robertson Richard Wootton and Joseph Sprigg Belt sign and Seal the within Bond and deliver the same as their Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned Sworn Before Richard Thompson sides Recorded the 12.th October 1785 The State of Maryland Montgomery County to wit Know all men by these presents that we George Beall Richard Thompson & James Orme all of the County aforesaid are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum or Quantity of Forty thousand pounds of Crop Tobacco to be paid to the said State to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally in and for the ^w^hole firmly by these presents sealed with our seales and dated this fifteenth day of September one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three The Condition of this obligation is that if the above bound George Beall will Diligently and carefully view and examine all Tobacco brought to any public warehouse or warehouses where he is appointed to be Inspector and all other Tobacco he shall be called upon to view and Inspect and that he will not receive any Tobacco that is not (in) |
