362) John Weems of Anne Arundel County before us the subscribers and being privately Examined apart from & out of the hearing of her said Husband Acknowledged that she relinquished all her right & title of Dower to the Lands and Premisses within mentioned to the said John Weems of Calvert County & his heirs & that she and the same freely & willingly without being induced thereto by fear threats or ill usage by her said Husband or fear of his displeasure Richard Harrison Tho.s Tongue Sam.l Harrison Jun.r Maryland fs.t Whereas Locheden within mentioned in a resurvey on Dinahs Beaverdam's Holloway's Increase & Fords Folly & it is apprehended that part of Dinah's Beaverdams lies out of the lines of Locheden & it is the intention of John Weems of Anne Arundel County within mentioned to convey all his right & Interest to the said John Weems of Calvert County in & to the said three several Tracts Now for the consideration within expressed the said John Weems of Anne Arundel County doth hereby bind himself & his heirs to convey the same in fee to the said John Weems of Calvert County In Witness whereof the said John Weems of Anne Arundel County hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal this 5.th February of 1785 John Weems (Seal) 11 ½ sides Recorded this 22.d Day of April 1785 State of Maryland Sct Know all Men by these Presents that we Adam Fischer Sam.l Sweringham Conrod Fultz Michael Storm Fred.k Meazle Benj Eastburn Valentine Adams Jacob Millar of Frederick County in the State aforesaid are holden and firmly bound to the State of Maryland in the full Sum and just quantity of Two hundred thousand Pounds of good sound Merchantable Leaf Tobacco and Cask to be paid to the said State To the which payment well and truly to be made We bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated the day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred eighty and two The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden Adam Fischer do well and truly serve the State of Maryland in the Office of High Sheriff of the County of Frederick within the State aforesaid and in all things well and faithfully execute the same office and also shall render to said State and other its Officers a true faithful and perfect account of all and singular the said States rights and Dues and to its Officers a true and just Account of their Fees that he shall or may be entrusted with by the said State and others its Officers within this State to receive and collect and his Account to the said State for the time being for the Fines and Forfeitures and |
