334 Judges of the General Court and severally Acknowledged it to be their Act & Deed and the Lot of Ground therein Conveyed to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named William Faris his Heirs and Assigns forever According to the True intent and meaning thereof At the same time Margaret Trueman being by me Privatly Examined Apart from and out of the Hearing of her Husband did Declare that she had Executed the foregoing Instrument of Writing and made this Acknowledgment freely and willingly without being Induced thereto by fear or threats of ill usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure 6½ sides A C Hanson Recorded the 8.th day of April 1785 Ex.d dld & p.d This Indenture made this first Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five Between Clement Biddle of the City of Philadelphia in the State of Pennsylvania Merchant and Rebekah his Wife and John Biddle of the said City Merchant They the said Clement Biddle and John Biddle being the Surviving Partners of a Trading Company under the Name Title Stile and Firm of Clement Biddle and Company and Acting occasionally ^by & ^ under the Name and Firm of Clement Biddle and Company and Rodolp Tellier of the one Part and William Pollard Charles Pettit James Crawford Jacob Spicer and John Barclay all of the said City Merchants five of the Creditors of the said Clement Biddle and Company and Clement Biddle and Company and Rodolp Tellier of the other Part Whereas the said Clement Biddle and John Biddle in and by a Certain instrument of Writing or Deed poll bearing day the Date next before the Day of the Date of these Presents for the Consideration therein mentioned Did Grant bargain sell assign transfer and Set over All and Singular the Hereditaments Lands Tenements and Real Estate And also all and singular the Goods Chattels Rights Credits and Personal Estate Whatsoever and Wheresoever of them the said Clement Biddle and John Biddle herein after mentioned and Described unto the said William Pollard Charles Pettit James Crawford Jacob Spicer and John Barclay Their Heirs and Assigns in trust nevertheless to sell and Dispose of the same and to make Distribution of the Proceeds Thereof and amongst the Several Creditors |
