       Know all men by these Presents that we John Baden son of Thomas &
       John Baden sen.r & Thomas Baden of Prince Georges County Gentlemen are
       held and firmly Bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Quantity
       of Forty thousand Pounds of Tobacco to be Paid unto the State to the which
       Payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and every
       of us our and Every of our Heirs Executors in the whole and for the Whole
       Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and
       dated this 18.th day of September Anno Domini seventeen hundred and
       Eighty four   The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
       Bound John Baden (son of Thomas) do well and faithfully Execute the Office
       of an Inspector at Nottingham ware house so far forth as relates to all
       Act of ^the General^ Assembly Entitled an Act to regulate the Staple of Tobacco then
       the above obligation to be Void and of no Effect otherwise to be and remain
       in full force and virtue in Law

                                        Inclosed in the Bond was the following Certificate Viz.t

       I hereby Certify that James Clarke and Darby Rian the subscribing Evidences
       to the within Bond made oath that they were Present when John Baden
       (of Tho.s) John Baden sen.r & Thomas Baden Signed Sealed and Acknowledged
       the within Bond and at their request Signed the same as witness thereto

       and Frank Leeke of Prince Georges County are held and firmly bound unto
       the State of Maryland in the full and just Quantity of Forty thousand Pounds
       of Tobacco to be paid unto the said State To which Payment well and truly to
       be made and done we bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our heirs
       Executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole Jointly and
       Severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this
