29 day of November 1780 The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Thomas Gray shall well and faithfully execute and perform the several duties required of him by the Act of Assembly entitled an Act to raise the Supplies for the Current Year and shall well and truly pay to the Treasurer of his Shore the several Sums of money which he shall receive and be answerable for in virtue of the same Act at such time as by the said Act is directed according to the true intent and meaning thereof then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue T. Y (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in the Sam.l Hance (seal) presence of John Turner (seal) Thomas Blake Alex.r Somervill At the foot of the aforegoing Bond was thus written to wit Calvert County November 21st 1780 Came before us the Subscribers Thomas Blake and Alexander Somervill and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they were present at the Signing sealing and delivering of the above bond and that they were Witnesses to the same W.m Smith Dan.l Rawlings Ex.d Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Gray Edward Reynolds and Samuel Hance of Calvert County are held and firmly stand bound unto the State of Maryland the full and just Sum of Twelve Thousand pounds in Spanish Mill'd Dollars or the value thereof and the Quantity of Two hundred and Ten thousand pounds Merchantable Tobacco to be paid to the said State to the thee which payment well and truly to be made & done we bind ourselves and each of our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this Thirtyeth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Thomas Gray shall well and faithfully execute and perform the several duties required of him as Collector of the Tax for Calvert County according to Law then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue Signed Sealed and delivered in the Tho.s Gray (seal) presence of E.d Reynolds (seal) Alex.r Somervill Dan.l Rawlings Thomas Blake Sam.l Hance (seal) Ex.d State Maryland fs.t Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Gray Edward Reynolds Samuel Hance of Calvert County are held and firmly stand bound unto the State aforesaid in the full and just Sum of five thousand three hundred and sixty eight pounds to be paid to the said State we bind ourselves and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this tenth day of January one thousand seven hundred and eighty two The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound |
