250 To the aforegoing Deed was annexed as follows to wit Borough of Liverpool to wit Edward Newsham of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster and Kingdom of Great Britain Gentleman maketh oath that he did see James Gildart named in the Parchment Writing hereto annexed sign seal deliver and Execute in due form of Law the same Parchment Writing purporting to be a power of Attorney from the said James Gildart to James Wignell therein named for the Purposes therein Mentioned And this Deponant saith that the name James Gildart thereto Subscribed as the Party executing the same and also the names of this Deponent and Hen Brown Appearing to be thereon enclosed as Witnesses attesting the execution of such power are of the proper hands writing of the said James Gildart Henry Brown and this Deponent respectively Sworn at Liverpool in the County of Lancaster and Kingdom of Great Britain the Tenth Day of July in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and eighty three } Edw.d Newsham {Before Geor Case Esq.r Mayor {and Chief Majestrate of Liverpool This is to Certify that on this Tenth Day of July one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Before me George Case Esq.r Mayor of the Borough of Liverpool in the County of Lancaster and Kingdom of Great Britain personally appeareth the before named Edward Newsham and Maketh Oath that what is contained in the before Writen Affidavit is Just and True the County In faith and Testimony Whereof I the said Mayor have hereto subscribed Seal my name and Affixed the seale of my ^said^ office the Day and Year above Written Witness Witness Also George Case Esq.r Mayor and Chief Majestrate of Liverpool John Colquitt Town Clerk And I John Colquitt of Liverpool aforesaid Notary Public and a Master Extraordinary of his Majestys high Court of Chancery Do hereby certify that the before named Edward Newsham did on the said Tenth Day of July before the said Mayor in my presence Depose to be true what is contained in the said Affidavit In faith and Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and the the County Seal of my ^said^ Office the same Day and Year Seal John Colquitt Town Clerk of Liverpool as also a Master Extraordinary in Chancery and Notary Public Baltimore County to wit Be it remembered that on the Thirtyeth Day of June Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and Eighty four personally appeared Docter John Stevenson and Simon Vashon both of Baltimore County before us the Subscribers two of the Justices of the Peace for the said County and being Duly Sworn on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God Deposeth and Saith that they were ^are^ well acquainted with the hand Writing of James Gildart Esquire of Liverpool in Great Britain and to the best of their knowledge they verely believe that the within Power of Attorney from the said James Gildart to the said James Wignal is Signed in the Proper hand Writing of the said James Gildart Sworn before us And Buchanan Jn.o Stevenson Jn.o Merryman Simon Vashon Baltimore County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern (that) |
