218 Sixteen Degrees East thirty Eight Perches then south seventy one Degrees West forty Perches then North eight degrees West fifty two Perches then South eighty degrees West five Perches then North ten degrees West fifty one Perches then South eighty seven degrees West seventy Perches then North twenty one degrees West seventy eight Perches then South seventy six Degrees East twenty five Perches then by a strait line to the beginning containing and laid out for one hundred and ninety nine Acres of Land more or Less together with all and singular the Profits Commodities Advantages Headitaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said two Lots of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits of the said premises and of every part and parcel thereof and all the estate Right title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsey as Commissioners aforesaid of in and to the said two Lots of Land and premises and every part thereof To have and to hold the said two lots of Land and all and singular other the premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said William Smallwood his heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of the said William Smallwood his Heirs and Assigns for ever In Witness whereof the said Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsey have hereunto set their Hands and Affixed their seals the Day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Clement Hollyday (Seal) In presence of A C Hanson Nat Ramsey (Seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit Maryland sc.t On the 8.th Day of June 1784 came the within named Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsey before the Subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court and Severally acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed and the Lots of Land therein mentioned to be bargained and Sold to be the right title and Estate 7 sides of the within named William Smallwood his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and meaning thereof A C Hanson Recorded 14.th June 1784 Ex.d & dl.d This Indenture made the eighteenth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty four Between Richard Beard Junior of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland Planter of the one part and James West of the City of Annapolis in the County and State aforesaid Innholder of the other Part Whereas by Indenture of lease duly executed bearing date the fifth day of May seventeen hundred and seventy two and made or mentioned to be made between Charles Wallace of the City of Annapolis aforesaid Merchant of the one Part and Robert Lambert of the same place Gentleman of the other Part he the said Charles Wallace for the Consideration therein mentioned Did demise Grant and to farm let unto the said Robert Lambert all that piece or parcel of Ground with the Appurtenances situate lying and being within the City of Annapolis aforesaid beginning at the lower Corner of Thomas Hewitts Lot on Cornhill Street then down Said Street thirty feet then at right angles till it intersects East Street then up East Street till a line drawn to the beginning will make a right angle on Cornhill Street To hold unto the said Robert Lambert his Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during and until the full end and term of ninety nine years then next ensuing and fully to be Complete and ended By and under the Rents services covenants and agreements in the said Indenture ^of^ Lease Particularly mentioned and expressed And Whereas the said Robert Lambert for certain causes him moving did Assign make over and transfer the premises aforesaid unto a certain Hugh Henly then of the City aforesaid and since deceased And Whereas also the aforesaid piece or parcel of Ground with its Appurtenances hath been since the above Assignment Assigned unto sundry persons until the possession thereof came into the hands of the aforesaid Richard Beard the Grantor aforesaid for which said several Assignments reference being had to the records of the Mayors Court of the City of Annapolis and the Records of Ann Arundel County Court will more fully and at large appear (Now) |
