715 I William Parr Esquire Master of the Rolls of and for the Province of Pennsylvania ^do hereby Certify^ that the above and foregoing Writing (purporting to be a Letter of Att.y from David and John Barclay) ^to John Gibson and Robert Barclay ^is an Exemplification or True Copy of a Record of my Office in Lib D 2 Vol 8 Page 25 &ca In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and caused the Seal of Office to be hereunto put and affixed the Seventeenth day of May Annoque Domini 1774 (LS) Will.m Parr Mast of the Rolls The Honourable John Penn Esquire Governor and Commander in Cheif of the Province of Pennsylvania and Counties of New Castle Kent and Sussex on Delaware To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting I do hereby Certify that William Parr Esquire is Master of the Rolls in and for the said Province of Pennsylvania and that the seal affixed to his Certificate hereunto annexed is the Proper Seal of his said Office and that to all acts Attestations and Certificates by him so made and done as Master of the Rolls full faith and entire Credit is and ought to be given at all times and in all places as well in Judgment Court as else where In Testimony whereof I have set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the said Province to be hereunto affixed at Philadelphia the Twenty fifth day of May Anno Domini 1774 the great seal John Penn of the Province of By his Honours Command Pennsylvania Joseph Shippen Jn.r Secretary I do hereby acknowledge that I have Examined the Several Vouchers for the Satisfaction of the hereunto annexed Judgment obtained in the Provincial Court in the Province of Maryland in September Term One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty one by David Barclay & Sons of London against Patrick Hamilton & John Flanagan Surviving Partners of Matthias Bordley for a Debt due from the said Matthias Bordley Patrick Hamilton & John Flanagan & that I am Satisfied the whole of the Debt for which the said Judgment was obtained together with Interest & the Costs of Suit has been paid & I do by vertue of a Power of Attorney from David & John Barclay Surviving Partners of the House of David Barclay and Sons Copy of which is hereunto annexed fully Release the Heirs Executors & Administrators of the said Matthias Bordley & the said Patrick Hamilton & John Flanagan & their Heirs Executors and administrators from all claims in Consequence of the said Judgment against them and against their Lands Tenements Goods and Chattels In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Fourteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Four Signed Sealed and Delivered Robert Barclay (LS) in the Presence of Adam Ruhn Tho.s Barclay David Barclay & Sons ag.st Provincial Court Septem.r Term 1761 Patrick Hamilton and John Flanagan |
