584 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed Viz.t Received on the 30.th Day of July 1773 of and from the within named Charles Wallace the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within named to be by him paid to us Witness W.m Steuart W.m Paca R Ghiselin On the 30.th Day of July seventeen hundred and seventy three came the within named William Paca and Mary his Wife before us the Subscribers two of his Lordship's Justices of Ann Arundel County and severally acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act and Deed and the Lands and Premises therein mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the within named Charles Wallace his Heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning of the same Writing and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided At the same Time the said Mary Paca the Wife of the said William Paca being by us examined privately apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband declared she made such her Acknowledgment above mentioned and joined in the within Conveyance and executed the same willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill Usage by her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure according to the Act of Assembly aforesaid W.m Steuart R Ghiselin Ann Arundel County to wit These are to certify to all whom it may in any Manner concern that William Stewart & Reverdy Ghiselin Gentlemen by and before whom the above Acknowledgments were made taken & signed at the Time of making taking & signing the same and long before were and now are two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid thereunto duly & legally authorized commissioned and qualified & that to all Acknowledgments by them so signed full Faith & Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court & thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and (LS) affixed the publick Seal of the County afs.d this 20.th Day of 8 Sides December 1773 J Brice Clk I hereby acknowledge that the within Deed was executed to me in Trust only to reconvey 20.th Decem 1773 Cha Wallace Recorded 23.d December 1773 Know all Men by these Presents that We Christofer Court and Company of London Merchants have made ordained constituted authorized and appointed and by these Presents Do make ordain Constitute authorize and appoint Thomas Eden of London Mariner our true and lawfull Attorney Giving and hereby granting unto our said Attorney full Power and lawfull Authority for us the said Constituents in our Names and for our Use to ask demand levy sue for and by all lawfull Ways and Means recover and receive of and from all and every or any Person or Persons whatsoever whom it shall or may concern inhabiting or being in the Province of Maryland All such Sum and Sums of Money Goods Wares Merchandizes Effects Estate and Things which now are or shall or may hereafter be due owing payable belonging or in any wise appertaining unto us the said Constituents whether by Bond Note (Bill) |
