       seventy three came the within named John Creagar before me the Subscriber one
       of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and acknowledged
       the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein
       Bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed to be the right Title and Estate
       of the within named Reverdy Ghiselin his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to
       the true Intent and Meaning of the said Deed and the Act of Assembly in such
       Cases made and provided

          This Indenture made this first Day of December Anno Domini
       seventeen Hundred and Seventy Three Between Philip Hammond of Ann.l
       County Gentleman of the one Part and James Grimes Planter of the other Part
       Witnesseth that he the said Philip Hammond for and in Consideration of the Sum of
       Seventy Six Pounds five Shillings Current Money to him in Hand Paid by the
       said James Grimes at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the
       Receipt of which he the said Philip Hammond doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and
       therefrom every Part and Parcel thereof doth freely fully and Absolutely Exonerate acquit
       and discharge the said James Grimes his Heirs Executors and Administrators and
       every of them by these Presents hath bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed
       and by these Presents doth fully clearly and Absolutely Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe
       and confirm unto him the said James Grimes One Hundred and Twelve and a
       Quarter Acres of Land being Part of a Tract of Land Called the Valley of Strife
       Lying and being in Baltimore County Begining at a Nine Notched white
       Oak Saplin Standing in the fifth Line of said Tract of Land called the
