       Received on the day and Year first within written of and from the within named
       Joseph Sprigg the Consideration within mentioned being Five thousand two hundred and
       fifty Pounds Sterling by the within named Frederick Haldimand in Witness whereof
       his Name is hereunto subscribed by Daniel Dulany and John Ridout Esquires
       his Attornies for that Purpose constituted and appointed

       November sixth 1773  Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's
       Justices of the Provincial Court The honble Daniel Dulany and John Ridout
       Esquires and (by Virtue of a Power of Attorney from the within named Frederick
       Haldimand to them for that Purpose recorded amongst the Land records
       of Frederick County bearing Date the tenth day of June last past duly attested)
       did acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be the Act and deed of the
13 sides   said Frederick Haldimand and the Land and Premises therein specified
       to be the right and Estate of the within named Joseph Sprigg his Heirs and
       Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof

                         This Indenture made this twelfth day of November in the Year of our Lord
       one thousand seven hundred and seventy three between John Hammond son of Thomas
       John Hammond late of Ann Arundel County Gentleman deceased of the one Part
       and Benjamin Gaither of the same County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth
       that the said John Hammond son of Thomas John Hammond deceased as
       aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of ten pounds sterling money
       to him in hand being well and truly paid by the said Benjamin Gaither
       at and upon the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof
       he the said John Hammond doth hereby acknowledge and therewith confess
