       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Charles County sc.t
                                        On the twenty sixth Day of Ap.l in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and
       seventy three came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Charles County the
       within Named Jane Dalton and Richard Lee the several Partys to ^the^ within Indenture and severally Acknowledged
       the same to be their and each of their Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses thereby bargained &
       sold to be the Right and Estate of the said Charles Mankin & his Heirs to the Uses Intents Purposes and
       Trusts therein specified and contained according to the true meaning of the said Deed

          This Indenture made the ninth Day of August seventeen hundred and seventy three
       Between John Cartwright and William Walter of Saint Mary's County in the Province of
       Maryland of the one Part and Justinian Jordan of the same County & Province of the other Part
       Witnesseth that the said John Cartwright and William Walter for and in consideration of the
       Sum of five Shillings Sterling to them in hand paid by the said Justinian Jordan the receipt whereof
       is hereby Acknowledged have given granted granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and
       confirmed and by these Presents do freely and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and
       confirm unto the said Justinian Jordan his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Tract or Parcel of Land
       lying and being in Saint Marys County aforesaid being Part of a Tract of Land lying in the County
       aforesaid called Baskford Manor which is contained in and concluded in ^the^ following Metes Bounds
       Courses Lines and distances that is to say beginning at John Gee's southerly Marked Hickory bounded
       with nine Notches from thence with a Line drawn South to a Marked Tree a little above the bound Tree
       of Edward Turners from thence down the Swamp untill it comes to A Daniells Point from thence to a
       marked White Oak that stands at Brown Berry by a Pond Side the Bound Tree betwixt Rowland
       White and Daniel O'Daniell from thence with a Line drawn to the first Bounded Hickory of John
       Gee's ^above^aforesaid containing one hundred Acres more or less together with all Trees Woods Underwoods
       Profitts Advantages Water and Water Courses Houses Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said
       Premisses belonging and also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and
       Services of the said Premisses and every Part and Parcel thereof and all The Estate Right Title Interest
       Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said John Cartwright and William Walter in and to
       Premisses above mentioned with the Appurtenances and every Part and Parcel thereof unto the said Justinian
       Jordan his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only Proper Use and behoof of him the said Justinian Jordan
