52 and Demands whatsoever which now are due and owing unto me or which hereafter may become due or owing unto me from all and every Person or Persons and in default of Payment thereof to have use and take all Lawfull Ways and Means in my Name for the Recovery thereof by Attachment Arrest or otherwise and a recept thereof acquittances and other Discharges for the same for me and in my Name to make Seal and Deliver and for me and in my Name to enter into and take Possession by all Lawfull Ways and means whatsoever of my Undivided Interest (being one Eight part) in a certain Plantation called the Hope situated lying and being in the Fondes of Bocry and Parish of S.t Paul in the said Island of Dominica together with Three ^other^ Unsettled Lotts or Parcels of Lands at Present in Woods Adjoining and Contiguous to the former and known by the Names of Lotts Number Three, four, and Seven with all the Houses Buildings Negroes Servants and other the Appurtenances or things to the said Plantation and Lotts in any manner of Way Appertaining And for me and in my Name to Assign Convey and make over unto Thomas Campbell of the said Island of Dominica His Heirs and Assigns for ever all my Right Title and Interest in and to the said Plantation lotts & Appurtenances by Executing and Acknowledging all such Deed or Deeds as may be thought requisite and Necessary by Council Learned in the Law for the sure Conveyance and making over the said Lands and Premisses in fee unto the said Thomas Campbell his Heirs and Assigns forever as amply and fully as I could do if personally Present And I do hereby ratify and confirm and shall and will at all Times hereafter ratify and Confirm all and whatsoever the said John Weir Thomas Pringle and William Thomson Smyth Jointly or severally shall Lawfully do or cause to be Lawfully Acted done or Accomplished in the Premisses In Witness whereof I the said John Campbell have hereunto set my hand and Seal at Nottingham aforesaid this Twenty Eighth day of September in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and seventy and in the Tenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth Test Philip Thomas Lee Richard Lee Junior John Campbell (seal) This Indenture made the Twenty eighth day of September in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between John Campbell of Nottingham in Prince Georges County and Province of Maryland Merchant of the one part and Thomas Campbell of the said Province Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Campbell for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two Thousand five Hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid (by) |
