502 Construed or taken to Extend or give any power or Authority to you the said Robert Eden to do suffer or Acquire in or agree unto any thing by means or reason whereof either the said Lord proprietary or his heirs may be Impeached Hurt or prejudiced in his or their Royalties Jurisdictions Rights Titles property or Interest of in and to the said Province or any part thereof any thing herein before Contained to the Contrary thereof in any wise Notwithstanding and Lastly we the said John Moore Hugh Hamersley and Peter Prevost Do by these presents Strictly Command and require all persons of what Degree and Condition soever within the said province of Maryland to pay ready and due Respect Submission and Obedience to you the said Robert Eden as they will answer the contrary at their utmost Peril Given at London under the hands and Seals of us the said John Moore Hugh Hamersley and Peter Prevost and also under the Hand of the said Henry Harford and under the Greater Seal at Arms of the said Province this second day of March in the thirteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the third and in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy three and in the second Year of the Dominion of the said Henry Harford over the said province Henry Harford (LS) John Moore (seal) Hugh Hamersley (seal) 12½ Sides Peter Prevost (seal) Recorded the 30.th of April 1773 X.d Maryland fs.t Know all Men by these presents that We Benedict Calvert & George Steuart Esquires Judges and Registers of the Land Office of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable Henry Harford Esquire Absolute Lord and Proprietor of the Province of Maryland in the full and just Sum of three Thousand Pounds Currency to be paid to the said Lord Proprietor and his Successors to which Payment well and truly to be made We and every of us hereby bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this thirtieth ^day^ of April Anno 1773 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound Benedict Calvert and George Steuart Esquires Whilst they shall continue in the Office of Judges and Registers in and of the Land Office shall at their own proper Cost and Charge find a supply of Good and Sufficient Record Books necessary for the entering up of all Matters and things relating to such Land Office and shall and will make or cause to be made and eterd true legal and perfect Records and entries according to the Truth and nature of the matter or thing required to be entered or Recorded and shall duly and Carefully look after sustain, preserve, repair, and maintaine all the several Books Papers and Records now being and remaining in the said |
