456 Presents doth Grant bargain sell and confirm unto him the sid James Wallingsford his Heirs and Assigns all his Right Title Claim and Interest of into or out of a Tract or Parcell of Land lying and being in Prince Georges County called Wallingsfords Purchase containing two hundred and fifty Acres more or less being Part of a Tract or Parcell of Land called Beall's Pleasure To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract or parcell of Land hereby Bargained and sold or intended so to be with its proper Use and Behoof for ever and the said Benjamin Wallingsford for himself and Heirs the aforesaid tract or Parcell of Land together with its Premises and every Part thereof against him and his Heirs to the said James Wallingsford his Heirs and Assigns shall and will warrant and for ever defend by Virtue of these Presents In Witness whereof the said Benjamin Wallingsford hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and delivered his In the presence of us Benjamin B Wallingsford (seal) Mark R Ridgely James Graham On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received on the day and Year within written of and from the within named James Wallingsford the Consideration within mentioned being the sum of sixty Pounds Current Money Testes p me R Ridgely his Benjamin B Wallingsford mark James Graham Received of James Wallingsford the Sum of ten Shillings Sterling Money being the Alienation fine on the within Land for use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Jn.o Brice On the 15.th day of April 1773 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Benjamin Wallingsford and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein specified to be the Right and Estate of the within named James Wallingsford his heirs and Assigns according to the true Intent and meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided before J Hepburn 4½ Sides Recorded 20.th April 1773 X.d This Indenture made the twenty Ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Thomas Jennigs of Ann Arundel County of the one part Edward Dorsey son of John of the same County of the second part and Dawson Stevens and Ruth his wife of the third part Witnesseth that the said Dawson Stevens and Ruth his wife for the Barring all Estates tail and remainders over and in the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments herein after mentioned and for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Sterling to them respectively in Hand paid by the said Edward at or before the Execution of the said Presents the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit exonerate and discharge the said Edward his Executors and Administrators and for divers other good Causes and Considerations them the said Dawson Stevens and Ruth his wife thereunto moving Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the |
