435) Balt.r County fs.t On the fifth day of July In the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy two John Johnson Personally Appeared before me the Subscriber one of the right Honourable the Lord Proprietaries Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid and being duly Sworn and the Holy Evangels of Almighty God Deposeth & Saith that he saw William Hicks of Papcastle in the County of Cumberland Esquire Sign Seale and Deliver the within Power of Attorney and that he this Deponent Subscribed his name in his own hand writing a witness thereto In the Presence of the said William Hicks Esq.r and at his request and That he saw Capt.n John Fletcher and Henry Jefferson sign as witnesses at the Same in the Presence of the said William Hicks and at his request And Buchanan Maryland Baltimore County fs.t I hereby Certify that John Moale and Andrew Buchanan Gentlemen before whom the Above Depositions were taken and who have thereto Subscribed their Names were at the day of the Date thereof and still are two of his Lordships The Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary his Justices of the Peace in and for the County Aforesaid and to all Certificates by them Given as such due faith and Credit is and ought to be Given as well in Courts of Justice as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Publick seal of the County aforesaid (LS) This fourth day of December in the year of our Lord Seventeen Hundred and Seventy two 8½ Sides A Lawson Clk Balte Coty Cot Recorded the 25th February 1773 x.d This Indenture made this sixth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and seventy three Between Charles Carroll of Elk Ridge in Ann Arundel County Esquire of the One Part and Robert Darnall of Prince George's County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth That the said Charles Carroll Esquire for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifteen hundred pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in Hand paid by the said Robert Darnall at and before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Charles Carroll Esquire hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed And by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeof and confirm unto him the said Robert Darnall his Heirs and Assigns for ever all his the said Charles Carroll Esquire's Right Title Interest Property Claim and demand which he now hath or hereafter may have of in and could to wit All that Tract or parcel of Land called The Addition containing by Patent the Quantity of Nine hundred and forty acres more or less Also three hundred Acres of Land being part of a Tract of Land called His Lordship's Kindness adjoining to the said Addition and wheron the Dwelling House of the said Robert Darnall now stands; and also all that part or parcel of Land now in the Possession of the said Robert Darnall called Too Good and containing |
