35 Received of M.r Isaac Beall the Sum of Nine Shillings and four pence Sterling it being the Alienation Money on the within Land for the use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded 12.th September 1770 11 sides x.d This Indenture made the Twenty first day of March in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and Seventy Between John Beale Bordley Esquire of the one part and Charles Wallace of the City of Annapolis Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Beale Bordley for and in Consideration of the Sum of Six hundred and thirty six Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said Charles Wallace at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth release Acquit and Discharge the said Charles Wallace his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them by these Presents Hath granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents Doth grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Charles Wallace his Heirs and Assigns All that piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being within the said City of Annapolis Begining at the Place where formerly stood the Original bounded Poplar and Beginning Tree of the said Land on the North East side of a Cove called Nicholson's Cove and since called Garretts Cove and now called the Dock and running from the said Beginning North Seventy four degrees West Two hundred and forty seven Feet to a Locust Post then North West Two hundred and sixteen Feet to a Locust Post in the Line of East Street then with East Street South Eighty eight degrees West Three hundred and sixteen Feet to a Locust Post in the Line of the Circle of the Publick Ground then the Line of the said Circle to a Locust post in the Cut of Francis Street then with said Street South forty seven degrees East Three hundred & forty eight Feet to a Locust Post then South Eighty four degrees East Three hundred and fifty three Feet to the River side then with a Streight Line to the Beginning containing two hundred and twenty four Thousand three hundred and Eighteen square Feet more or Less with all Edifices Buildings Improvements Orchards Gardens Trees Ways Paths Waters Water Courses Easements Profits Commodities Advantages Emoluments Hereditaments and Appertenances whatsoever to the said Premises belonging or in any wise Appertaining or which was or heretofore have been accepted reputed taken known used Occupied or enjoyed to or with the same as part or parcel thereof or any part thereof except and always reserved out of the aforesaid Piece or Parcel of Land and these Presents a Piece or Parcel of Land heretofore sold & conveyed to a certain Robert Gordon deceased according to the Estate and Terms to him mentioned thereby and also except and always reserved out of the aforesaid Parcel of Ground and these Presents a Piece or Parcel of Land heretofore by Francis Nicholson given sold or Conveyed to the use of the Free School in the said City of Annapolis And the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits of all and singular the said Premises above mentioned and intended to be conveyed by these Presents and of every part thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Possession Property Claim and Demand whatsoever at Law & in Equity of him the said John Beale Bordley of in and to the same To have and to Hold all and singular the Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be Conveyed (with) |
