335 (On the Back of the aforegoing Policy was thus endorsed) 3 August 1769 M.r George Crawford Randolph fr Bris.l to Maryl.d Goods £200 at 40/pC £4 Policy 8 Rec.d the same in the Contents for Gresley Blake & C.o 4: 8 J Rogers Made on Acco.t of M.r Robert Couden by George Crawford At Paisley the twelfth Day of April seventeen hundred and seventy one Years The Policy within written with what is wrote on the Back y.r of presented by Hugh Snodgrass Waiter in Paisley is registered upon the fifteenth & sixteenth Leaves of the Register of probative Writes kept within the Shire of Renfrew by Jo Snodgrass Maryland Sc.t On the 10.th Day of July 1772 Came Robert Couden of the City of Annapolis Merchant before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that he had not directly or indirectly received any Part or Parcel of the Money under^wrote^ written in the within Policy or any Security or Satisfaction for the same Sworn to before Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded the 10.th Day of July 1440 x.d This Indenture made the twentieth Day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand 6 sides seven hundred and seventy two Between Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer of the City of Annapolis Gentleman of the one Part and Anthony Stewart of the said City Merchant of the other Part witnesseth that the said Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer for and in Consideration of the Sum of twelve hundred Pounds Sterling to him in Hand paid by the said Anthony Stewart at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby release acquit and discharge the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them Hath given granted bargain'd sold alien'd released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoffe and confirm unto him the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Lot of Groung situate and being within the Addition to the City and Port of Annapolis aforesaid distinguished in the Plot of the same City according to the Resurvey thereof made by James Stoddert in or about the Year seventeen hundred and eighteen by the letter T which said Lot the said Jenifer purchased of Thomas Rutland of Ann Arundel County together with the Houses Appurtenances and Premisses thereunto belonging or any ways appertaining |
