(29) Received of Absalom Beddo and Richard Sheckles the sum of thirteen Shilling and a Penny Sterling it being the alienation fine on the within Premises for the use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan his said Lordships agent and receiver General Recorded September 1.st 1770 J Brice Clk 13 sides x.d This Indenture made the second day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred & sixty nine Between Lancelot Lee of Prince George County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and James Russell of the City of London Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Lancelot Lee for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and Seventy five Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said James Russell at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof the said Lancelot Lee doth hereby Acknowledge and of and from every part thereof doth fully Acquit and Discharge the said James Russell by these Presents Hath granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these Presents Doth grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said James Russell his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract or Parcell of Land or part of a Tract or parcel of Land called Rehoboath situate lying and being on the North West Forke of Nanticoke River in Dorchester County in the Province of Maryland and Likewise all such Lands Tenements and Hereditaments which Descended to the said Lancelot Lee from or by Francis Lee his late Father and also all other Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever of him the said Lancelot Lee situate lying and being in the Province of Maryland aforesaid whereof or wherein he the said Lancelot Lee or any other Person or persons on his behalf or in Trust for him is or are seised in Possession Reversion or Remainder together with all and Singular Houses Outhouses Edifices and Buildings Profits Commodities Advantages Appurtenances and Hereditaments whatsoever to the said Lands and Premisses above mentioned every or any part or parcel thereof belonging and also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents Issues and Profits and all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Lancelot Lee of in and to the said Lands and Premisses above mentioned and to every part & parcel thereof with the Appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise Appertaining To have & to hold the Land and Premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof to the said James Russell his Heirs and Assigns for ever to his and their only proper use and behoof and the said Lancelot Lee for himself and his Heirs doth Covenant and grant to and with the said James Russell his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Lancelot Lee and his Heirs and all and every other person and Persons any thing having or claiming in the said Lands and Premises or any part or parcel thereof above mentioned by from or under him the said Lancelot Lee shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the request and proper Costs and Charges of the said James Russell his Heirs or Assigns make do Acknowledge Levy Suffer and (Execute) |
