(27.) Frederick County fs.t 8.th August 1770. Then came William Deakins Jun.r before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within land and Premises to be the Estate of the within named Daniel Stephenson his heirs and Assigns forever & according to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and Provided Acknowledged Before us Andrew Heugh Charles Jones Received of Daniel Stephenson the Sum of One Shilling and four pence Sterling it being the Alienation fine on the within Premises for the use of Lord Baltimore by virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan his said Lordships agent and receiver General Recorded 1.st September 1770 John Brice 17 Sides x.d This Indenture made this twenty third Day of August Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and Seventy between Daniel Stevenson of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Merchant of the one Part and Absolom Beddo and Richard She^c^kels of Frederick and Anne Arundel County and Province aforesaid Planters of the ^other^ Part Witnesseth that the said Daniel Stephenson for and in Consideration of three Hundred and Forty three Pounds Seven Shillings Sterling money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Absalom Beddo and Richard Sheckles the Receipt whereof the said Daniel Stephenson doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully satisfied contented and paid and thereof and therefrom doth acquit and discharge the said Absalom Beddo and Richard Sheckles their heirs and Assigns forever ^hath given granted bargained & sold in these presents doth give grant bargain & sell unto the said Absolom Beddo & Richard Sheckels his and their heirs and assigns forever^ the four following tracts or parcels of Land to wit part of a tract of Land called Bear Garden enlarged lying ^and being^ in Frederick County and Containing and now laid out for one hundred and twenty two acres beginning at the beginning tree of a tract of Land called Deer Park and runing thence North Seventy two ^Degrees^ and a half west Seventy nine perches then north thirty degrees east one hundred and thirty two perches then north Seven Degrees East forty eight Perches then north forty Seven degrees west forty Seven Perches to the end of thirty one Perches in the twenty second line of the Original tract called Bear Garden Enlarg'd then with said tract South fifty five Degrees West one hundred and twenty eight Perches then west sixty Perches then south Seventeen Degrees east thirty Perches then south sixty three Degrees east Seventy five perches then south seventeen degrees west forty eight Perches then south Seventy two degrees and a half East one hundred and fifty two Perches then with a Straight Line to the Beginning tree second part of a tract of Land call'd Deer Park beginin.g at the end of thirty two Perches in the thirtieth Line of said tract and runing with said tract Reverse south forty one degrees west thirty two Perches west sixty Perches south five degrees East thirty Perches south sixty two degrees west sixty Perches south eight degrees west fifty two perches south Seventy degrees west thirty four Perches south ten degrees east one hundred and fifty six Perches North Seventy two degrees east eighty two Perches North Seventeen degrees east eighty seven Perches north sixty three degrees west sixty one Perches North Seventeen degrees west three Perches north sixty three degrees west thirteen Perches north seventeen degrees west thirty Perches East sixty perches north fifty five degrees east one hundred and thirty Perches to intersect the Given line of Joseph Tucker's part of Deer Park and Bear Garden enlarged then with a straight line to the beginning containing and now laid out for one hundred and Seventy three Acres; Third, a tract of Land call'd First mistake beginning at the end of the Seventeenth Line of a Tract of Land call'd Deer Park lying near the west Paint Branch of the eastern Branch of Patowmack River and runing thence south fifty five degrees West one hundred and fifty nine Perches west sixty Perches then south Seventeen Degrees east thirty perches then south sixth three degrees east fourteen perches then north seventeen degrees west twenty eight Perches then east sixty Perches then north fifty five degrees East one hundred and fifteen perches then north seventeen degrees east fourteen Perches then south seventy eight degrees east twelve perches then north fifty five degrees east twenty three Perches then with a Straight Line to the beginning containing and now laid out for Eighteen Acres; Fourth a tract of Land called Second Mistake beginning at the end of the twenty fifth Line of a tract of Land called Bear Garden Enlarg'd lying on the East side of the west Paint Branch of the Eastern Branch of Patowmack River and runing thence South Seventeen Degrees west ninety Perches then south Seventy two degrees west sixty Perches then south twenty one degrees and a Quarter West twenty Perches then north (sixty) |
