267. On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit Received on the Day & Year first within written of & from the within named Charles Carroll the Sum of twelve Pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration within mentioned to be by said Charles Carroll paid to us H Rozer Witness Daniel Carroll Will Sydebotham Notley Young Chris.r Richmond On the twenty ninth Day of August in the Year seventeen hundred & seventy one came the within named Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll & Notley Young before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court & acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their respective Act & Deed & the Lots of Land thereby bargained & sold to be the Right & Estate of the within named Charles Carroll his Heirs & Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & Meaning of the same Writing & the Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided Taken before J Hepburn Received the Sum of two Pence Sterling for the within Lotts for Use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine for the same by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 14.th Day of Nov.r 1771 X.d This Indenture made the twenty ninth Day of August in the Year seventeen hundred & seventy one between Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll & Notley Young of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Gentlemen Justices of Charles Carroll Esq.r of the same County for the Purpose of erecting a Town called Carrolsburg on Patowmack River, in the County aforesaid, of the one Part & John Beall Boardly of the other Part Witnesseth that the said ^Henry Rozer^ Daniel Carroll & Notley Young for & in Consideration of the Sum of twelve Pounds Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the said John Beall Boardly before the ensealing & Delivery hereof, the Receipt whereof the said Henry Rozer Daniel Carroll & Notley Young do hereby acknowledge & therefrom acquit & discharge the said John Beall Boardly his Heirs Executors & Administrators & every of them by these Presents Have & each of them hath bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed & confirmed & by these Presents ^do and^ each of them doth bargain sell, alien, release enfeoffe & confirm unto the said John Beall Boardley his Heirs & Assigns all those Lots of Land, lying & being in the Town aforesaid, known & distinguished in the Plat of the said Town by the Numbers One hundred & twenty nine & one hundred & eighty eight, The Lot ^Number^ one hundred & twenty nine Beginning at the End of the third Line of Lot Number One hundred & twenty eight & runing with the said Line revers'd to Union Street, then with Union Street eighty Feet to Street (Number) |
