210 at his Pleasure to revoke ratifying allowing and confirming all and whatsoever our said Attorney shall in our Names lawfully do or cause to be done in ^and^ about the Premises by Virtue of these Presents In Witness whereof we the said President and Masters or Professors of the said College of William and Mary have hereunto set our Hands and affixed the Seal of the said College this fifteenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy one and in the eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c Sealed and Delivered John Camm in the Presence of Emanuel Jones Josiah Johnson L S William Dawson John Dixon Rich.d Floyd Pitt S Henley F Gwatkin I John Randolph Esquire Mayor of the City of Williamsburg in the Colony and Dominion of Virginia, do hereby certify that on the sixteenth Day of August in the eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c Annoq Domini One thousand seven hundred and seventy one personally came before me William Dawson and Richard Pitt the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Power of Attorney and made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that the above named John Camm Emmanuel Jones, Josiah Johnson, John Dixon, Samuel Henley and Thomas Gwatkin the President and Masters or Professors of the College of William and Mary in their Presence seal execute and acknowledge the same in due Form of Law In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and caused the Seal L S of Mayoralty of the said City to be affixed at Williamsburg aforesaid the Day and Year above written John Randolph Recorded this 30.th Day of August 1771 5 sides x.d Know all Men by these Presents that I Robert Miller named in the Letter or Power of Attorney hereto annexed by Virtue of the Power and Authority therein contained Have named substituted and appointed and by these Presents Do name Substitute and appoint Robert Couden of the City of Annapolis Merchant and Attorney under me to do accomplish fulfill and execute all and each and every ^Act^ Matter and Thing by Virtue of the same Letter or Power of Attorney and these Presents as I myself may might or could do by Virtue of the said Letter or Power of Attorney In Witness whereof i have hereto set my Hand and affixed my Seal this thirtieth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one Robert Miller (Seal) 1½ sides Signed, sealed, and delivered in the Presence of Bursar of W.m & Mary College Ja Reith Christ.r Johnson Recorded this 30th Day of August 1771 |
