(95) On the back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Written (viz.t) Received on the day & year first with written of and from the within Curr.y named Richard Henderson the sum of fifty pounds Current Money £50 0 0 being the consideration money within mentioned Witnesses I sat received by me JBrice Junior his Ann Brice Tho.s R Joyce mark Be it remembered that on the 30.th day of may in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and sixty six before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of the province of Maryland personally appeared the within named Thomas Joyce and acknowledged the within named Thomas Joyce and acknowledged the within indenture to be his act & deed and the Land and premisses within mentioned to the right & Estate of the within named Richard Henderson his heirs and assigns according to the true intent and meaning of the same deed and the act of assembly in Such case made and provided Jn.o Brice Received the 2.d June 1766 of M.r Richard Henderson the sum of three shillings Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the alienation fine on the within land and by virtue of a commission from Edward Lloy Esq his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Recorded 3.d June 1766 John Davidson Sides Ex.d This Indenture made this Second Day of June in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand Seven hundred and sixty six Between John Brice Junior of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and John Brice of the city aforesaid Esquire of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Brice Junior for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said John Brice Esquire the Receipt whereof he the said John Brice Junior doth hereby acknowledge Hath given granted bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these Present He the said John Brice Junior for himself and his Heirs Doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Brice Esquire his heirs and assigns all the Lands lying in Cecil County in the Province aforesaid which he lately purchased of and from the said John Brice Esquire and Sarah his wife and which are called and known by the names of Part of Frisbys Prime (Choice) |
