712 On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t August the 15.th 1769 William Frost and George Buchanan the Subscribing Witnesses to the within Letter of Attorney being Sworn on the Holy Evangelists Depose and say that they were Present at the Execution of the within Letter of Attorney at London in Great Britain and did see and hear the within Named Daniel Mildred and John Roberts respectively Sign Seal and Deliver the within Instrument as their Act and Deed And that they the Deponents did Write their Names as Witnesses thereto And that the Names of William Frost and George Buchanan indorsed as Witnesses are the Deponents hand writing respectively Sworn to the Day and Year above mentioned before me one of his Lordships the Lord Proprietary's Justices of the Provincial Court J B Bordley W.m Frost 5½ Sides Recorded 13.th April 1770 Geo Buchanan Exam.d This Indenture made this fourteenth Day of April Anno Domini one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between Robert Field of Kent County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and James Chalmers of the County and province aforesaid of the other part Whereas the said James Chalmers did on the twenty third Day of June Seventeen hundred & Sixty six by his Deed of Mortgage for the Consideration of Six Hundred & seventy one Pounds Current Money of Pensylvania therein mentioned grant bargain & sell all that Tract or Parcel of Land called Harris's Forest Containing Nine Hundred Acres also one hundred Acres of Land called Pope's Forest also all that parcel or Tract of Land called Hermitage Containing Thirty Acres also all that Parcel or Tract of Land called Pope's Forest Containing one Hundred Acres lying and being in Kent County aforesaid to the said Robert Field his Heirs and Assigns for ever Upon Condition that if the said James Chalmers his Executors or Administrators shall well and truly pay unto the said Robert Field his Executors Administrators or Assigns the above mentioned sum of Six hundred and seventy one Pounds Current Money of Pensylvania with legal Interest thereon at or before the Twenty third Day of June Seventeen hundred and seventy one then this Mortgage to be Null and Void and of no Effect Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Robert Field for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eight Hundred and twenty ^two^ Pounds Pensylvania Money to him in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said James Chalmers his Heirs Executors and Administrators hath remised released and for ever quit Claim and by these Presents he the said Robert Field for himself his Heirs and Executors doth remise release and for ever quit Claim unto the said James Chalmers his Heirs and Assigns for ever all his Right Estate Claim use Possession Reversion Remainder and Demand whatsoever which he ever had now hath or hereafter may have or which his Heirs Executors or Administrators shall or may have of in or to the (aforesaid) |
