669 to the Contrary notwithstanding In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day and Year above Written Sign'd Sealed and Delivered Tho Price in Presence of Ar.t Charlton Sam.l Beall Jun.r (Seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t March 30.th 1770 Received of Richard Beall son of Samuel the Sum of Five hundred and fifty Pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness Tho Price I sat rec.d P Sam.l Beall Jun.r Ar.t Charlton Frederick County fs.t 1770 On the day of March Came Samuel Beall Jun.r before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid & Acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act & Deed and the Land and Premises therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of Richard beall son of Samuel his Heirs and Assigns for ever Acknowledged before Tho Price Memorandum the following Erasements W.m Luckett and Interlineations were first made before Executing Viz.t degrees) in the Twenty Ninth Line the Word ^fifty^ betwen the Thirty seventh and Thirty eight Line and the Words Sixty six degrees West) in forty seventh Line Reced the Sum of Sixteen Shillings and ten pence Sterling Money being the Alienation Fine on the within Lands (for use of Lord Baltimore) by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Jn.o Brice sides 10½ Recorded 2.d Day of April 1770 X.d This Indenture made the Thirtieth day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between Samuel Beall Jun.r of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and Jeremiah Beall of the County and Province aforesaid Witnesseth that whereas a certain George Murdock of Prince Georges County Deceased was at the Time of his Death seized in Fee of a Tract or Parcel of Land laying in Frederick County called part of the Charles and William Containing Two Hundred and forty eight Acres which he Devised unto George Murdock Jun.r and George Beall son of Nathaniel to be equally Divided Between the said George Murdock and George Beall son of Nathaniel References being had to the said George Murdock's Will Recorded in the Prerogative Office for the Province will more fully and Clearly appear which said Land was also Conveyed unto said Samuel Beall Jun.r by George Beall son of Nathaniel as will more fully appear by bearing date 27 March one Thousand seven hundred and sixty six and recorded in Liber K folio 435 & 437 among the Land Records of Frederick County Now This Indenture Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three Hundred & fifty Pounds Sterling Money to the said Samuel Beall in hand paid the receipt whereof the said Samuel Beall does hereby acknowledge and of every part and parcell doth hereby absolutely Acquit Exonerate and discharge the said Jeremiah Beall his Heirs Executors and Administrators by these Presents he the said Samuel Beall hath granted bargained Sold aliend Enfeoffd and Confirmed and by these Presents doth grant bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Jeremiah Beall his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that half part and undivided Moiety of the aforesaid Tract of Land (called) |
