664 for ever according to the True Intent & meaning of these Presents as he or they or their Council Learned in the Law Reasonably Devised Advised or required In Witness whereof the said John Dorsey hath hereunto set his hand and Affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above Written Sign'd Seal'd & Delivered John Burgess Jun.r In the Presence of us Basil Burgess Jn.o Dorsey (seal) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Mar 31.st 1770 Then received of M.r Vachel Dorsey the sum of Two Hundred and fifty Pounds Sterl.g being the Consideration within mentioned Received P Jn.o Dorsey John Burgess Jun.r Basil Burgess On ye 31 day of Mar 1770 Came before us two of his Lordships Justices of Ann Arundel County Court the within Named John Dorsey and Acknowledg'd the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Vachel Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever At the same Time Came Mary the Wife of the aforesaid John Dorsey who being by us privately Examined out of the Hearing of her said Husband freely Acknowledged that she gave up all her Right and Title of Dower unto him the said Vachel Dorsey his Heirs & Assigns for ever without any Threats or fear of the Displeasure of her said Husband according to the True Intent & meaning of these Presents John Burgess Jun.r Basil Burgess Reced of Vachel Dorsey the Sum of Thirty two Shillings Sterling Money being the Alienation fine on the within Land for use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq his said 11½ sides Lordships Agent and Receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 2.d Day of April 1770 X.d This Indenture made this thirty first day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between John Dorsey of Ann Arundell County Merchant of the one part and John Glover of Baltimore County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that he the said John Dorsey for and in Consideration of the sum of Sixty two Pound ten Shillings Currant Money to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said John Dorsey at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof the said John Dorsey doth hereby Acknowledge and hereof doth Acquit Exonerate and fully discharge the said John Glover his Heirs and Assigns for ever Hath given granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents do give grant bargain Sell Alienate Enfeof and Confirm unto him the said John Glover his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that part or parsell of Land being part of Tract of Land called and known by the Name of John Mistake lying in Baultimore County Begining for the said Parsell of Land at the Begining Place where the Originall Tract Begins at and runing thence with the Lines of the Originall Survay Viz North Twenty degrees East Sixty Perches then North (Seventy) |
