(530) Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight/ Hodges John Green of Richmond in the County of Surry Gentleman maketh Oath and Saeth that he was Present and did See Francis Brerewood in the Power of Revocation hereto Annexed Named duly Sign Seal and as his Act and Deed deliver the Same on the day of the Date thereof and that the Name or Characters Fra Brerewood Set Opposite to the Seal as the Party Executing the Same is of the Proper Hand Writing of the said Francis Brerewood and the names Mary Thomas and John Green Set and Subscribed ^to^ the Same as Witnesses duly Attesting the Execution of the said Power of Revocation are of the Proper Hand Writing of Mary Thomas Servant now living with the said Francis Brerewood and of this Deponent Sworn at the Mansion House London the 15.th November 1768 John Green Sam.l Turner Mayor 7 sides Recorded the 31.st day of March 1769 Ex.d This Indenture Made the Seventh day of Aprill in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Between Thomas Rutland of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the One Part and Jeremiah Magruder of Prince Georges County in the Province aforesaid Gentleman of the Other Part Whereas Benjamin Welsh late of the said County deceased was in his life time Seized and Possessed of and intitled unto Part of a Tract or Parcell of Land lying and being in the County aforesaid near the head of South River called and known by the Name of Arnold Grey amongst Other things by him the said Benjamin Mortgaged to John Brice Esq.r deceased and Whereas the said Thomas Rutland having Administered on the Estate of the said Benjamin Welsh did heretofore take up and Redeem the said Mortgage and Procure or release thereof from the legal Representatives of the said John Brice as also a Release of the Equity of Redemption thereupon from John Welsh heir at Law of the said Benjamin ^and^ Whereas the said Thomas Rutland hath since laid Off the third Part of the said Parcell of Land for Anne Welsh Widow and Relict of the said Benjamin and Exposed the Remainder to to Publick Sale for the Benefit of his Creditors and the said Jeremiah Magruder being the highest Bidder Now this Indenture Witnesseth (that) |
