(488) the sum of Thirteen hundred and ninety one Pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Joseph Ensor Witness Tho.s Johnson Jun.r Baruch Williams On the third Day of December 1768 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within Named Joseph Ensor and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed for the Uses and Purposes therein Mentioned Geo Steuart ℓℓ 96 Tob.o Recorded the 5.th Day of December 1768 Examd Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this twenty third Day of November in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty eight Between John Stevenson of Baltimore Town in the Province aforesaid Merchant of the one part and Joseph Jacobs of Ann Arundel County in the same Province Farmer of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Stevenson for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred Pounds Current Money to him by the said Joseph Jacobs in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit and discharge the said joseph Jacobs his Heirs and Assigns hath granted bargained sold aliend enfeoff'd and confirm'd and by these Presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the aforesaid Joseph Jacobs All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Stevensons Manor scituate lying and being in Baltimore County in the Province aforesaid and heretofore in Virtue of a Warrant for that purpose bearing Date the twenty second Day of January in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty five resurvey'd for him the said John Stevenson in two seperate and distinct parcels and by Patent bearing Date the fifth Day of January in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty seven granted to him for the Quantity of One thousand and ninety Acres of Land more or less beginning for the first part or parcel thereof at a Bounded White Oak standing on the West side of Middle run a Draught of the great Falls of Potapsco the said Tree being also the Beginning Tree of a Tract of Land called Maddox's Folly and runing thence the following Courses and Distances to wit North twenty four Degrees and thirty Minutes East one hundred and five Perches North thirty nine Degrees and thirty Minutes West eighty three Perches North thirty three Degrees East fifteen Perches North forty two Degrees West forty two Perches North three Degrees West sixty Perches North twenty six Degrees and thirty Minutes East thirty six Perches North three Degrees West eighty two Perches North nineteen Degrees West eighty four Perches North seventy eight Degrees East eighty Perches South thirty five Degrees and thirty Minutes East one hundred and thirty Perches South twenty three Degrees (West) |
