(464) him the said John Gresham all that Tract or parcel of Land scituate lying and being in Ann Arundel County aforesaid on the West side Chesepeake Bay and on the West side of the South River of that Bay Beginning at a Marked Oak standing near a Marsh of the said River called Selbys Marsh bounding on the East with a line drawn North West and by North from the said Oak for the Length of one hundred and fifty Perches on the North with a Line drawn west from the End of the former Line for the Length of one hundred and seventy perches to marked pochiccory Tree on the West with a line drawn South and by west from the said pochiccory for the Length of one hundred and fifty perches to a Marked Oke on the South with a line drawn East South East from the said Oke for the Length of one hundred and seventy Perches unto the Land of John Watkins and and Jeremiah Hazling and with the said lands containing Four hundred and ninety Acres of Land with the Appurtenances thereto belonging to which said Writ the said John Gresham shall and will appear in his proper person or by his Attorney or Attorneys lawfully authorized and impowered and Vouch to Warranty thereof the aforesaid Charles Manns and Elizabeth his wife and Anne Meade who shall likewise appear Gratis in their proper persons or by their Attorney or Attornies lawfully Authorized and shall and will enter into the warranty thereof and Vouch over to Warrant the same premisses the Common Vouchee who shall thereupon appear and enter into the said Warranty and after Imparlance make Default and such further and other proceedings shall be therein so that one or more good and perfect Common Recovery or Recoveries with double Voucher shall and may be had suffered perfected and executed in all things according to the Usual Form of Common Recoveries with double Voucher for Assurance of Lands in such Case Used and Accustomed Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for the settling and declaring the Intent use and purpose of the said Recovery or Recoveries so to be suffered as aforesaid and for and in consideration of the sum of seventy two Pounds sterling Money of Great Britain to them the same Charles Manns and Elizabeth his Wife and Anne Meade by him the same John Gresham in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged it is Covenanted granted agreed and declared by and between all the said parties to these presents that the said Common Recovery or Recoveries so as aforesaid or in any other manner to be had and suffered and the Execution thereof from and immediately after the suffering the same or any other Recovery or Recoveries of the said mentioned premisses or any part thereof shall and is and are hereby intended to be and enure and shall be adjudges construed deemed and taken and is and are and was and were meant and intended and is and are hereby declared to be and enure and the Recoveror and Recoverors in the said Recovery or Recoveries Named or to be Named and he and they and his and their Heirs shall stand and be seised of the said Land and premisses with the Appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof to and for the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said John Gresham (his) |
